And because tanks are quite mobile, especially compared to infantry, you can go on the offensive.Ĭluster rocket artillery completely wrecks this equation because it is highly effective against armor. The counter to an enemy that is using a lot of artillery is, naturally, to get tanks. MBT's have as their primary function being a relatively versatile and mobile combat unit that is resilient to artillery and various other weapons. However, more importantly, your primary mobile offensive unit is the main battle tank. The reason for this is that camping in a town for a long period is going to cause your troops to get shelled. In previous Wargame titles the prevailing design principle was that artillery actually encourages dynamic, mobile gameplay.
